Student Members Welcome!

Interior Design Society membership can be a great value for young men and women at the beginning of an interior design career. While you are in school, IDS chapter meetings and the IDS Message Board, as well as other member communications, provide an important connection to experienced interior designers and others allied to the interior design field.

On the local level, IDS Student Members can learn much by attending IDS chapter meetings. Usually held monthly, IDS chapter meetings provide an opportunity to meet with established designers and to learn outside the classroom. This interaction of new and established designers is a great learning experience for both.

IDS membership gives design student a chance to supplement required course work with real-world knowledge. IDS local chapters provide more than networking; many are active in fund-raising for local and national causes, staging area-wide promotions, organizing educational trips, and other "hands-on" experience.

Who Can Join?
IDS membership is available to all students enrolled in an accredited interior design program. Verification from an instructor, a student ID card, valid diploma or transcript may be submitted as proof of enrollment.
